Little People at Sunnynook welcome you

null

On approaching Sunnynook School, parents, students, staff and visitors are greeted by a host of little people lining the fence waiting to welcome them in.  Each little person represents a class at Sunnynook School.  The idea was suggested by a Junior school teacher and the staff helped design the wooden templates.  The class teacher cut out two for each class and students then worked to design and paint the figures under the guidance of art teachers from the school.   When completed the teacher and the caretaker of the school fixed them to the fence for everyone to enjoy.

The school is situated at the end of a cul-de-sac (Lyford Crescent) with private grounds and spacious playing fields on a higher level to the classroom blocks. The main entrance is via Lyford Crescent, but walkways connect the school to Regency Place and Sunnynook Road. A reserve borders the school grounds to the north west. The buildings are located in two main groups - senior school, hall administration are, and secondly, the junior block.
