About Us » School Charter

The on-going acquisition of knowledge and skills.
High quality education is responsive to individual needs guided by reflective practitioners with a pedagogical consciousness. Our Sunnynook Learning Community will support learners in their strive for excellence.
Our school will be community focused. This begins within our own school grounds and ripples out to our surrounding community, our country and beyond. By creating partnerships within our own community, students will develop an awareness of the diversity of life and the importance of working together to create a sustainable future.
Teachers, parents and children together will make a commitment to children's learning through striving for excellence, showing respect, participating in school life, caring for and exploring their environment, and showing integrity in all they do.

Sunnynook School is a place of respect. We expect everyone to respect four things:
1 - We respect OURSELVES
This means presenting myself in the best way I can. Tidy appearance, tidy speech, and tidy work.
2 - We respect our CLASS MEMBERS
This means being kind and thinking of other people’s feelings.
3 - We respect our TEACHERS
This means doing what I am told.
4 - We respect our SCHOOL
This means looking after school property.
