School Property Manager

Sunnynook Primary School is seeking a Property Manager to ensure our school environment is well-maintained and secure. Practical skills are required; a Trade Qualification is preferred.  

The position is for 40 hours per week over 52 weeks per year. Conditions and remuneration are according to the School Caretakers’, Cleaners’ and Canteen Staff Collective Agreement. Ideally we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible, for a handover with our current Property Manager. 

The successful applicant will: 

  • be methodical and have an eye for detail

  • possess excellent communication, organisational and time management skills

  • have the ability to produce reports and planning documents for school management

  • be able to relate well to others and have a ‘can do’ attitude 

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • ensuring that all health and safety practices/regulations are followed 

  • managing our grounds person and cleaners

  • liaising with tradespeople/contractors

  • general maintenance and repair of site grounds, buildings, playgrounds and relevant equipment 

  • ensuring the school grounds are kept clean and tidy

  • preparation of school grounds for sporting or community activities

  • supervision of rubbish and refuse removal

  • first point of contact for alarm activations and security callouts
