Principal's Message
Tēnā koutou Parents / Caregivers / Sunnynook Whānau
It has been heartening to see how many parents came to our recent workshops at school. In these busy times, we do appreciate the time and effort it takes to attend these workshops. This has a positive impact on your children and builds engagement and collaboration within the community and school.
We held a New Parent Transition to School meeting to welcome our new families to the school, a BSLA Workshop for Y0-2, and the Health Curriculum Workshop, which discussed our recent Health survey and the two health curriculum areas being taught across the school. We will be holding further workshops in the future and we encourage you to attend whenever possible. We also hosted a ‘Kawhe and Kōrero' meeting for our parents with tamariki in our Āwhina Initiative which was well-received.
Our sports teams are well underway with our children participating in a number of sporting activities. It is wonderful to see the level of enthusiasm and enjoyment for our children involved in these extra curricular events.
Our Team Newsletters are available on our website today. Please take the time to read these and see what has been happening in the classrooms.

I would like to thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. By continuing to work together in a positive way, we will see our students thrive and enjoy these important first steps on their learning journey.
Ngā mihi
